stock gearing is 14 teeth on the front sproket ( attached to the left side of the motor)

41 teeth on the rear. by changing your ratio you make your power output change. you can gear to have more power from the lowend of your power band but this will sacrifice power on top. by adding one tooth to the font would be the same as taking 2 1/2 - 3 teeth off the rear. so what ever you do to one you can get the same by doing the opposite to the other sproket (with a small conversion that is) there is nothing that an aftermarket sproket will do other then take the abuse better. always run steel sprokets. the aluminum ones tend to sheer off .

 

when you replace your sprokets you want to replace your chains as well, you dont have to it just help keep the parts from wearing out faster.
