sa3ood_banshee Posted October 2, 2007 Report Posted October 2, 2007 hey guyz i just wanna no wats gearing, and how to set them,, and wat soo good abt tha aftermarket sprokets? and wats up with their sizes????? plz help sa3ood Quote
Bansh-eman Posted October 2, 2007 Report Posted October 2, 2007 stock gearing is 14 teeth on the front sproket ( attached to the left side of the motor) 41 teeth on the rear. by changing your ratio you make your power output change. you can gear to have more power from the lowend of your power band but this will sacrifice power on top. by adding one tooth to the font would be the same as taking 2 1/2 - 3 teeth off the rear. so what ever you do to one you can get the same by doing the opposite to the other sproket (with a small conversion that is) there is nothing that an aftermarket sproket will do other then take the abuse better. always run steel sprokets. the aluminum ones tend to sheer off . when you replace your sprokets you want to replace your chains as well, you dont have to it just help keep the parts from wearing out faster.
