playrpaco Posted September 28, 2007 Report Posted September 28, 2007 I have a 91 shee that has just over 5 hours on rebuild Toomey t5 bored 30 over new wisco piston set hot rod crank upgraded rev box Ricky Stator, flywheel, stator and timing plate "I belive" Billet alum. reed cages boyesen power reeds wire harness cut to racing specs ok i have no power band i was told that the key for the fly wheel was wrong when i bought it " 2 days ago" so i bought a stock key i was also told the jetting is probably off it has a 270 main 28 pilot and im not sure what the needle is set at what should i start with as far as setting timing plate, what jets and what to set the needle at thank you Quote
swrbansheeboy Posted September 28, 2007 Report Posted September 28, 2007 where are you located? elevation has alot to do with jetting. and pilot jets for mikuni carbs ( i'm assuming mikuni since your mains are 270's) go in 2.5's so you either have 27.5's or 30's... in oregon at sea level we run our t-5 bikes that have clamp on air filters with 310 mains/ 30 pilots and middle clip on the needles baseline then tune from there but that setup is usualy pretty dialed... your reed's might lean you out a bit but better to start rich. i didnt notice what kind of air filter/filters your running. that plays a big part also... I live in Michigan i ride in trails and in the dunes and i also have a kn in the stock box with out a lid also for the other reply on here it has 110 in it but ide like 93 pump and ive always used h1r oil Quote
