flattrakker Posted September 26, 2007 Report Posted September 26, 2007 Hey guys. my shee is blow up and if i can find the money im gunna put a 4 mil in it. is it possible to drop a 4 mil in with the stock jugs as long as they are ported? thanks Quote
okbeast Posted September 26, 2007 Report Posted September 26, 2007 If the porting is done for a 4mil stroke yes, you will also need to get your head cut for it, but I see you have a coolhead so you can just get some 4mil cut domes. Quote
dajogejr Posted September 26, 2007 Report Posted September 26, 2007 is it possible to drop a 4 mil in with the stock jugs as long as they are ported? They should be ported for the 4 mil crank....timings won't be ideal if they were ported for the stocker... Quote
flattrakker Posted September 26, 2007 Author Report Posted September 26, 2007 is there really an advantage to a 4 mil? i know it may create more power but does anyone have evidance? Quote
dajogejr Posted September 26, 2007 Report Posted September 26, 2007 Roughly 7% increase in power... Quote
Hilarious Posted September 27, 2007 Report Posted September 27, 2007 is there really an advantage to a 4 mil? i know it may create more power but does anyone have evidance? Someone told me, now this is with a good port job, with the 4 mill...about 2-3 bike lengths in a good drag race.. Quote
flattrakker Posted September 27, 2007 Author Report Posted September 27, 2007 i think thats worth 400 bucks! Quote
okbeast Posted September 27, 2007 Report Posted September 27, 2007 Someone told me, now this is with a good port job, with the 4 mill...about 2-3 bike lengths in a good drag race.. LOL, now that's a stat for ya Quote
Animalman294 Posted September 27, 2007 Report Posted September 27, 2007 You will be happy with the 4mil, good luck man................. Quote
burleybanshee Posted September 27, 2007 Report Posted September 27, 2007 $400.00??? LOL, man that was a good one. If it was only 400 to do a 4 mil, everyone would be doing it. I think it is worth it, but its going to cost a lot more than that. 7% is about right, but the real gain is the increase in torque that I felt. Pulls harder down low though mine is not set up for straight drags and i'm only running t5's. It's worth doing if you can afford it. Quote
