wrx600rr Posted September 18, 2007 Report Posted September 18, 2007 I just bought an 02 banshee yesterday and I absolutely love it !! Now I am nervous about somebody possibly wanting it to make a quick dollar! I bought it in Illinois and I live in Indiana. I have the title but the seller signed where he was supposed to put my info and I dont have a bill of sale either! So my question would be, do I need a title to insure it or just pictures and a vin number? I want to put insurance on it but dont know if I am able too! Nick Quote
chevy7398 Posted September 18, 2007 Report Posted September 18, 2007 there is a companay called "atv line" all you need is the vin, you can get there number off the net , i used to go through them it was like 300 somthin a year but it was just like car insurance, it covered everything from theft to if i wraped it around a tree, the payments are broke into four payments throughout the year, the fist is the biggest and the other three are the same. wrx600rr Posted September 18, 2007 Author Report Posted September 18, 2007 I figured my auto insurance company would have some kind of coverage for atv's! I remember when I first bought my 400ex back in 03 they asked for my insurance info from my auto carrier but I never payed insurance on it or was even billed? I will just call tomorrow and ask them. I was basically looking for theft coverage, I am more of a layed back rider on a quad, so I doubt I would wrap it around a tree or flip it end over end on a hill! Nick Quote
RIPPEN Posted September 18, 2007 Report Posted September 18, 2007 I would check your auto insurance company.. I think I payed like 80 bucks last year and that covered up to 5,000.. RIPPEN Quote
scuba147 Posted September 18, 2007 Report Posted September 18, 2007 I pay 150 a year and did not need to show them a title. Just vin number. Maybe see you at the badlands sometime if you ride there Quote
sredish Posted September 18, 2007 Report Posted September 18, 2007 I have a local agent thats with State Farm and she'll insure it up to the amount you specify and then you pay a premium for that coverage amount. If I specify 10k and pay that premium and it's totaled or stolen, I'll get my 10k. Quote
5150banshee Posted September 18, 2007 Report Posted September 18, 2007 state farm will do up to 25,000 for 106 bucks a year, thats who i used Quote
