My questions are what kinda copyright laws do I need to be aware of. Some of you have seen my clips on here in and what is contained on the dvd would be similar. I have had people contact me saying they would buy one if I made it.. IAM NOT LOOKING TO GET RICH OR DO THIS AS MY JOB. However it would be nice to cover disc costs and or shipping. My concerns are the use of the music. So.. Am I risking getting in trouble if I were to sell these with the music? Is there anyway I can make it legit and ok if so? If not would it still be breaking the law to simply give them away? Obviously the botom line I don't want, or need any trouble. I know there are some damn smart guys on here so Iam hoping someone can tell me what I need to do or what I can do.. Thanks in advance! RIPPEN Quote
Handyman Posted September 15, 2007 Report Posted September 15, 2007 as far as the content on the Dvd video wise you have no worries....you recorded the footage yourself...music wise....you have no worries because you aren't selling just the music...you are using the music as background music arn't making any profits from it. How sure are you on this??? If your 100% than Iam stoked! As I said before Iam not looking to get rich or nothing but some bucks for the TONS of time and discs would be sweet! Thanks for the input! I am in support of your DVD project 100%, let me know what kind of DVDs you are going to use and I will hook you up with a bunch as my contribution to your project.
