Is there anything wrong with the top end thats in it? If its not broke, I wouldnt fix it. If you put a new top end in you have to see what bore you are at and get the pistons according to that. Ya know like 30 over 60 over or 90 over....

nope nothing is wrong with the top end just i am planning on getting

DMC 916 pipes

VF3

pro design foam filter kit

+4 timing andvanced

noss machine coolhead with 21 cc domes

i just dont know if the stock pistons can hanlde that

im 4000ft above and with 22cc domes i only get 106 per piston and with the 21cc domes i get 127

so i was just wondering if the stock pistons well still be reliable and last long without worries

which brings me too ask how well the stock crank hold up also

any chance you would know what kind of power i well be making?

thanks theshee

oh and yeah i know what .20 .30 over is but i was wondering if i could just put wiseco stock bore in without any other work

if you do use them, i assume you'll get new rings, make sure you get the wiseco rings!!

yes i would get new rings and break it in accordingly dont worry

You can get away with it as long as your cylinder walls are fine. You can find the whole Piston kit with gaskets around $230. Try Magic Racing. I don't thinnk it's hard at all. Slide the cylinders off & remove the circlip holding the Piston to the Rod.

just making sure you get from wiseco... they are different than wiseco (i origionally thought you were going to use wiseco's you had laying around w/ 60 hrs on them) ...i've just seen people run yammi rings on wiseco's & its not pretty

If you do put a new top end I would bore it for the new pistons. Just to take out any scratches or imperfections in the cylinder walls. If you have the extra $$, go ahead and put new pistons in, could save you a headache down the road. About the crank, it should be fine with those mods. My wifes bike ran mods similar to that and the crank was alright. Also, if you dont ride in lots of water, I would just get a couple good pod filters with outerwares. Thats a cheap way to make a little more power.

yeah pod filters is a big no no lol lots of water and mod

I go riding sometimes with a 5mm cub with drag pipes and duneable override trans and he does fine with pod filters. He just stays away from the water tho.But if it mud only and you can avoid water I say go for it.Ofcousre the mud I ride is the type of mud that is Dry and sticks on to your bike :banghead:

no the mud and water i ride is up to the seat and there is hardly ever a way around it

The stock pistons use a tighter piston/cylinder gap then a wiseco. The piston gap needs to be corrected for the wiseco's or you'll have cold seizing. (the piston gap will be too tight)

so its not worht it until it needs to be done?

ill be safe to ride with the stock pistons and crank

how much reliability would i lose with these mods?
