carbs

was just looking for un-bias info on picking what size carbs would suit my banshee best for mx riding, my quad is super fast already but i'd like a bit more power without going too crazy! see my spec list, any advice welcome

My vote would also be for the 2-1 setup. You'll have much smoother, more linear power with the added bottom end and killer midrange, along with more top end over the stock carbs as well.

 

If your dead set on dual carbs, the 28mm would be the ticket. Any bigger and you risk narrowing the powerband which will make you work harder on the track.

if the single carb works half as well as you guys say i should be very pleased, thanks

however i cannot find any conversion kits on ebay, so any ideas where i could find a kit would be much appreciated

Either Trinity or cascade makes them. They are the same setup and design. Oh, and I also run the single carb and love it!! :thumbsup:

never seen cascade's version, can you link to one. the trinity and the graydon are the only ones I've seen and graydon aren't making them anymore. i prefer the graydon unit, it runs good but the trinity works well also.

 

here's one on ebay with a 38mm carb. the carb is too big for your application but if it's cheap enough you can get it, resell the carb and buy the one you want. that's a way to try and save a little dough. they're pretty pricey direct from trinity. keep an eye on ebay and then in the for sale section here.

i'm gonna be takin my single carb setup off of my shee here in the next few weeks. I want $350 plus shipping for it. Its in good shape, only been on the bike for about a year, and due to down time and such only has about 45hrs on it..

 

comes with:

trinity manifold and carb boot

35mm keihin pwk

main jets 175-190

a 45, 48, 50, and 55 pilot jets

EEK and DEK needles

clamp-on k&n filter with outerwear

and a terrycable stainless braided throttle cable

thanks but i would prefer to buy a new setup whatever the cost, i have pumped so much money into my beast, a little more wont hurt. i've never bought used parts simply because i'm living in ireland and to return an item that is unsatisfactory would just be too much hassle for my liking, thanks anyway
