badassbanshee479 Posted September 5, 2007 Report Posted September 5, 2007 (edited) Here is one just like that. alittle cheaper too! scroll down to where it says chain tensioner http://www.jlatvproducts.com/closeouthome.htm I only run the rear slider on my 10 over Edited September 5, 2007 by badassbanshee479 Quote
dajogejr Posted September 5, 2007 Report Posted September 5, 2007 I won't give RDZ my money...I have the one from JL Lucky on my bike...works just fine, and a few bucks cheaper too. I mounted it to the lower shock mount on my bike to clean it up...and, let's face it... Chances are you'll take off your footpeg to get to the ignition at one point or another. But the rear shock? Probably don't take that off too often. Looks better...anyways. I run a 14 over arm, that's a whole lotta chain... Quote

I wouldn't give RDZ a case of VD, let alone my money. :geek: Quote
danysbanshee Posted September 6, 2007 Report Posted September 6, 2007 This thread just gave me an idea. I have a bunch of skateboard wheels laying around and since i need a new roller top and bottom. Iam gonna bolt those up. Quote
bk_banshee Posted September 6, 2007 Report Posted September 6, 2007 (edited) This thread just gave me an idea. I have a bunch of skateboard wheels laying around and since i need a new roller top and bottom. Iam gonna bolt those up. Throw away the lower frame roller. It just provides more torque to the output shaft. That is why this spring tensioner was designed. I never run the upper roller either. when under load the chain is preatty tight on the return to the engine. Edited September 6, 2007 by bk_banshee Quote
danysbanshee Posted September 7, 2007 Report Posted September 7, 2007 It won't hurt anything not running the top and bottom rollers. It makes chain adjustment a pain in the rear! Quote
