TeamRealtreeHD Posted August 27, 2007 Report Posted August 27, 2007 Question for you banshee lovers. As I stated in an earlier post, I just purchased one. The motorwork is listed in a post below under "what is the horsepower of this banshee". Going off of that and the quad is running good, the guy I bought it off of didn't say what I should run thnrough it. I ran 112 sunoco supreme with a mixture in my 250r but was wondering what I should with this beast. Any suggestions? thx, tony Quote
shee rips Posted August 27, 2007 Report Posted August 27, 2007 if you put your mods in your sig that would be sweet so we dont have to go back to another thread to see what mods you have  Quote
Jhughes7 Posted August 27, 2007 Report Posted August 27, 2007 I dont know your elevation but I would say with 20cc domes with no timing advance your more than ok to run 93 Premium, But as everyone else will tell, Check your compression. Quote

jjdillon426 Posted August 27, 2007 Report Posted August 27, 2007 (edited) i'd have to agree with jhughes on the 93 octane. you shouldn't have to run a higher octane fuel unless you do some internal work to the motor. basically anything that will increase compression. of course the bike will run better due to the gas/oil mixture, but usually you can't feel any difference in high octane(110+) and normal octane. peterlocal22 Posted August 27, 2007 Report Posted August 27, 2007 you should be good w 93 octane Quote
mybadbanshee Posted August 27, 2007 Report Posted August 27, 2007 93 is all you need but youd be safe mixing 93 and 110 50/50 but its unnecessary. Quote
TeamRealtreeHD Posted August 27, 2007 Author Report Posted August 27, 2007 My buddy has a banshee with the same modifications and jetting, etc. He runs 110-112 through his and it sounds, runs and smells excellent. Like I said, I just got her and wasn't sure. You guys are very smart and helpful. Thank you Quote

BellicoseBanshee Posted August 27, 2007 Report Posted August 27, 2007 Your fuel requirements should be based on compression and/or timing. If you can run pump 93, use it and concentrate on dialing in your jetting. You will benefit more from precise jetting than expensive fuel, no pretty smell though. My $0.02. Quote
SoCalinIt Posted August 27, 2007 Report Posted August 27, 2007 I'd check the compression first... Great place to start, and you will not have to play that guessing game! Just my .02, but well worth the time and money! Quote
