Are you talking about the Sand Drags on Sat, the 18th at Glamis? No one has posted anything about that night yet. How many showed? Any photos? What's the deal about the "trashfest"? Was there an organizer for this event? I was gonna go but life got in the way..... Jay From SanD. Quote
XxMeltIcexX Posted August 25, 2007 Report Posted August 25, 2007 Good job Planet Sand and the rest of you scumbags! Yet another trash fest at the base of Olds.Go fuck yourselves. Been hearing about that the past few years, whats up with this? With all the acres of dunes closing each year what are people thinking? I still remember when i didnt have to worry about trash to dodge... I always pick up what i see when i can, thats all we can do man Quote

ClimbAnyHill Posted August 26, 2007 Report Posted August 26, 2007 It's not the racers doing it.. It's the party crowd that doesn't ride & just go out there and hang out. I saw that GD thread Bansh.. I think the best idea was to pass out garbage bags & let them hangout the tailgate of every truck. It sucks there's been times at Glamis where I head out to Olds & it's closed down. I know accidents can be the cause but I sure hope it doesn't get shut down over garbage! Quote

Any photos? What's the deal about the "trashfest"? Was there an organizer for this event? ya. Those drags. Planet Sand is denying any responsibility. The event was organized on their site though. Most the actual racers weren't the proiblem (I would think) but their shithead friends and all the local scum it attracts made yet another mess of the Dunes. Quote
Bansh88 Posted August 27, 2007 Author Report Posted August 27, 2007 Luckily there is always someone to clean up after scumags. yes, even though it's a week later, it's all trash from the "night drags". http://www.glamisdunes.com/invision/index....t&p=2419648 Quote

phxrider Posted August 27, 2007 Report Posted August 27, 2007 That's not fair to them man! It's not a race organized by Planet Sand, the thread just got started there. http://www.planetsand.com/forums/ubbthread...ge/1#Post679440 Quote
SoCalinIt Posted August 27, 2007 Report Posted August 27, 2007 It was still started there though... I understand both sides... PS.com is saying they're not at fault, and GD.com is saying that the post was started there... so PS.com's name is on it... I just want to have a place for my daughter to ride when she's older!!! Pack it in, pack it out... It's that easy!!!! Quote
grounded Posted August 28, 2007 Report Posted August 28, 2007 Its really too bad. Met some of these guys who do the summer drags at a house party a few months ago. Seem like a real rowdy /sloppy drunk group . They gave me an invite to check it out. But, I'd feel a little nervous bein' the only white boy out there. Quote
dajogejr Posted August 28, 2007 Report Posted August 28, 2007 Wait a minute...Bansh. And I'm on PS...but I'm not defending them...just calling it like I see it. If it's not a PS sponsored or sanctioned event, how can they catch blame? I'm sure there is a thread with a bunch of people talking about going, etc. We have that here. Hell...on PS and HQ there are LONG threads about going to Silver Lake dunes and a sand drag track a few hours from Silver Lake. Does that mean HQ and PS are responsible if the track and/or dunes are left in a mess? No....half the people at the dunes don't even know what HQ or PS is.... However, if it is a PS sponsored/sanctioned event....I would back you 100%. I'm no fan of Charlie Ohton, BTW... However, the site does contain a wealth of knowledge for many....and plenty of good friends as well... Quote
Bansh-eman Posted August 28, 2007 Report Posted August 28, 2007 IDK Dave i kinda agree with both side a little, no PS didnt sanction the event. However its the big name guys from the site that hold the event. Sure they are not tied to PS however this happens every year and it begins and is organized on the PS forums. However on the other hand Charlie didnt have any input on organizing it either so I dont think Charlie should be held responsible for it. But we do know who held the event. Im sure if the law wanted to fix this, they would go knocking on his door. Quote
Bansh88 Posted August 29, 2007 Author Report Posted August 29, 2007 If I own a website and a bunch of guys from it get together and organize up the times and dates on my site, then go out and pig fuck the place, I'm going to hold myself responsible. How much blame would I allow myself? Not sure. After THE SECOND TIME that kind of thing happened, I'd start feeling really bad and pissed off. This is the 3rd year in a row now that this event has been organized on PS and made a disgrace of themselves and the sites name. At what point does PS take some blame and put the kaibosh on the scumbags?! Any thread about these "night drags" needs to be deleted. It's obvious PS has a real dirtball folowing when it comes to the Southern California members. Quote
