Blue Duece Posted August 17, 2007 Report Posted August 17, 2007 heres what id do......i asume by a full top end port you want to either drag on something, asfalut dirt or sand, lets use sand as an example.........head for glamis or dumont, park, crack a cold beer and watch whos going the fastest, ask said fast banshee rider whom or who ported said fast banshee, that would be the builder id go with........ RagunCajun Posted August 17, 2007 Report Posted August 17, 2007 that's a nice idea but it doesnt account for customer support, turn around time etc. I guess you can ask all of that though. Quote
trex banshee Posted August 17, 2007 Report Posted August 17, 2007 that's a nice idea but it doesnt account for customer support, turn around time etc. I guess you can ask all of that though. That and...it doesn't account for setup..Just because you beat someone doesn't mean your engine has more power. Quote
Blue Duece Posted August 17, 2007 Report Posted August 17, 2007 (edited) well id sip that beer and see who's winning consistantly (i figured we'd all know that) but when all else fails id get a passion engine, my self id swap a warrenty and tech suport to haul ass anyday, whats cusomer support? send the guy your motor not your juggs if you have to call the guy and ask him how to reasemble your motor or why id doesnt run after you did, you don t have the budget to build a race motor, grind the juggs your self and keep your fingers crossed Edited August 17, 2007 by Blue Duece Quote
dajogejr Posted August 17, 2007 Report Posted August 17, 2007 That and...it doesn't account for setup..Just because you beat someone doesn't mean your engine has more power. Amen....setup is everything. My 10 mil cub is getting spanked by a 4 mil cub...(.1 to .2 seconds) I have a lighter bike, but I'm a heavier rider...so...weight kinda equals out. Fouledout420 has a McCoy 4 mil that rips....he set it up just like Nate told him to, and he's been doing NOTHING but getting seat time on the bike...and it is very impressive for what it is... Granted, he's got more seat time than I do, and I'm still in the tuning process of mine, he's got that bike moving for sure... Setup is everything.... Quote
