okay so i picked up a 93 banshee today, full bills pipe, bored .50 over, uni filter, ceet cover full skid plates... and the guy told me it needed work, he told me it needed a new wireing harness because the engine is not getting spark. so today i tested it and it was sparking fine and wouldnt run more then 30 secounds and at a low RPMs would just bog. i think its a airleak. i pulled the engine out today to it rebuild it with new seals and gaskets. and a full tune up. i cleaned the frame up really good also. any ideas on what could cause this?

If you are getting good spark,Probably crap in the carbs.Replace the plugs and clean the carbs.Did this bike sit for any length of time?Drain all fuel and start fresh. Good luck.

lots of things could make it do that such as bad reed valves, bad crank seal, carbs need a good cleaning, air leak

To me it sounds like ethier the carb has some crap in it or a jetting issue.

i cleaned the carbs today and it did the same thing, im going to replace all the gaskets and all new fluids. it looked like a good spark to me on both carbs.

Just my 2 cents, did you mess with the parking brake shit on the handlebars? Would the engine rev up or just bog right when you hit the gas?

i took the parking brake off completely but when i was reading the online service manual i checked on my quad just to make sure.
