I JUST PURCHASED AN 06 BANSHEE WITH 20 HOURS IT CAME WITH A KN FILTER AND IS JETTED TO SUIT.

I RIDE MAINLY DUNES AND SOMETIMES TRAILS AT NEAR SEA LEVEL. I WANTED TO MOD MY BIKE BUT ONLY WILLING TO SPEND AROUND

THE $500 MARK. I AM FROM AUSTRALIA AND PLAN TO ORDER MY PARTS ONLINE FROM THE US. WHAT DO YOU

GUYS RECOMMEND. FMF FATTYS AND V FORCE 3 OR TOOMEY T5 WITH REEDS FOR STANDARD CAGE.

How would you like the power delivery of the bike to be like?

I would like improvevments over stock on the bottom end with a nice kick from the midrange through to the top end.

Is the much gains to be had by increasing the timing if the only other parts I am planning to modify will be pipes, reeds, jets

Advancing the timing will help with your bottom and mid-range power. I'd also recommend the T5's and VForce reeds. Mill your head to raise the compression some and you'll be in good shape powerwise.

Thats a tough feat to accomplish making more power everywhere. I personally feel the best fitted pipe to increase power over a wide range is something like an fmf gold series. Good low to mid can be had from the pro circuits. The dynoport 2 into 1 pipe with a small dynoport clean up port job will get you power all the way across the board to about the intermediate top end of what a Banshee can achieve for rpms. The T5 seems to make improvements mostly mid-top. Advancing timing will help low-mid power but it will be a minute improvement thats not really all that noticeable.

So your saying that I will get no improvement over stock on the lower end of the rev range if I get T5. What about V3's will I notice a power increase or is it more about throttle respose. Also what about FMF fattys they will cost me much less but people I read dont recommend tham over T5's

Thanks for your help. Nice sideways action on your pic.

The T5 will gain on the bottom over stock pipes, but its not really a bottom end pipe. Its more of a mid-top pipe. I dont really like fattys all that much, if I was to run a fmf pipe, I would find some gold series pipes. I dont run vf3's, but people I talk to and ride with say they make a little difference. I usually stick with the stock cage and run carbon tech reed petals.

they were on the bike when i got it, so I cant really compare it to stock, but fmf sst's seem to be a pretty good all around pipe.

I've only ran the T5's with VForce 3's, and I like the bottom end on it. Very big improvement over stock, and I also run a NOSS coolhead with 20cc domes too.
