Lockout under stock clutch cover?

Hey guys is there anyway to get a lockout to fit under a stock clutch cover? I am broke and cant really afford a cover but can afford a lockout any help is greatly appreciated Thanks

nope!! You have to run a lockup cover.

 

There is a guy on ebay selling a do it your self lockup cover. They are not that expensive

Sure! Just cut off the outer edge of your cover and let it run in the open. That sand and muck and dirt and dust and stuff you ride through won't do anything to it... :biggrin:

oh really i bet that would work great ill just carry a roll of duct tape in case it starts to leak i dont want the sand to get dirty Thanks

you can window your stock cover but there simply isnt enough room to fit a lockout in the space. go check out a bike with a lockout then note the clearance between the arms and the plexiglass. then note the width of the extension used to get the propper clearance for the lockout.

He sells an insert...I think it's around 100 bucks, but I'm not 100% certain.

You will still have to machine your stock cover to remove the side, then epoxy the insert in place.

 

This is not a lexan lockout cover, just polished aluminium.

I have Mike's lockout AND cover on mine...it works...

 

Next question is this...what do you have done to your bike to need a lockout?
