BansheeKid15 Posted July 4, 2007 Report Posted July 4, 2007 the stock head gasket is copper, but its coated in that black stuff. That makes sense about the impeller being green because i used the prestone "green" antifreeze. never thought about that. So i guess its white then  Quote
350BANSHEE350 Posted July 4, 2007 Author Report Posted July 4, 2007 ^ thats what my dad thinks he thinks it expanded enouh to flak away that kinda shiny coating of rubber i dont know lol so if it is the stuff from my head gasket is that bad? Quote
Hilarious Posted July 4, 2007 Report Posted July 4, 2007 How does it run right now? It is a brand new bike isnt it? It may be just some excess gasket material or oil or some kind of assembly lube from when the engine was first put together. Drain and flush that old coolant out and put some new in there. Keep an eye out on your coolant level in the radiator and not in the overflow bottle under the seat. Quote
350BANSHEE350 Posted July 5, 2007 Author Report Posted July 5, 2007 it runs excellent and sounds same no leaks no extra smoke so i think my gasket is fine like someone said maybe its access gasket material and i just noticed it now since i actually cared to look thanks alot guys im just going to fill her back up with some koolaid and go Quote
