markyb31 Posted June 24, 2007 Report Posted June 24, 2007 I got my first banshee yesterday and am pumped to get it out. Its a 1993 with works front end, laeger swing arm, dyna port exaust, bead lock rims and a bunch of engine upgrades. I paid $500 for it because the guy wanted it out of his ex-wifes garage and he had no where to put it. It has been sitting for about a year and it was not well taken care of but for $500 who cares. I got it home and took the carb off and took the jets out and boiled everything out. I put it back together and it started on the second kick  The problem is that it will not idle. I adjusted the idle on the choke both ways and nothing. It sounds great just no idle. Any ideas. Thanks for the help. Quote
black sunshine Posted June 24, 2007 Report Posted June 24, 2007 (edited) What idle on the choke? You have an aftermarket single carb? If not, try turning both air screws out 1 1/2 turns, and make sure you put the choke tube back in place--thats the little 3" hose that connects the carbs together. There is a stage IV intake on it and it has only 1 carb. There is a slide choke that says to turn it to adjust the idle speed. Does that help at all? I tried adjusting the air screw and did not seem to do anthing. Quote
