runs on 1 cylinder at idle?

okay, just put my banshee back together and it only runs on the left cylinder at idle but whenever you give it some gas the other kicks in. like when sitting at idle you can cover the right side exhaust and feel little bit of exhaust as if you put your hand over the left, you feel the exhaust, and when you rev it up a little you get smoke out of both pipes like normal, just put in a 310 jet because of it running a little too lean before on 290's, basically a stock shee with pipes and nothing else and this is the first time for this to happen, oh and when i say just got it back together i mean a top end rebuild with all new gaskets an new pistons an bord jugs

Mine did that once.Cleaned the carbs real well and it fixed it.Maybe your pilot jet got clogged up.

i'll pull the carbs real quick and clean em up real quick because tommorow were supposed to leave for north carlolina from florida

What he said. Also might wanna double check the carb sync @ idle (TORS knobs or idle screws w/o TORS) to make sure both slides stop in the same spot.

be sure not to reverse the slides. sync the carbs with a carb sync tool. The throttle response is great.

I had the same problem and it turned out to be the choke tube wasnt connected between the two carbs. Check that and also the slides arent in backwards.

thanks guys, i forgot to check back onto here after i cleaned up the carbs, i need to check all these things but i was headed to put it in the trailer, so i drove it down the block and back and then into the back of the truck and as soon as i shut the tailgate it started pouring down raine but i will check when the rain lets up again thanks guys
