ok so this was the first time ive taken the bowls of the carbs and notice the guy i bought it from ran a 200 main in one and a 290 in the other. what will happen if both are diff will one side run richer and the other lean?

Do you have stock exhaust on one side and performance exhaust on the other? :huh: I am just kidding with you. That is strange.

 

Ideally, both cylinders should have the same level of performance (matching exhaust, carbs, filters, etc.). The main jets should be the same in both carbs. Jetting one cylinder differently than the other is not the best way to solve an engine problem.

 

In your case specifically, one could be correct, or both could be wrong. If your banshee is completely stock, then your 200 main jet is right, or pretty close.

 

How did it run before you took the carbs apart? One side should have been much different than the other.

it ran a little hot,im going to get a few main jet sizes online mainly all stock so ill go with 200.

what kind of stuff are you running on your bike? that will give everyone an idea if your half lean or half rich. if it's all stock maybe it has an air leak on one cylinder and they jetted one carb fat to compensate for it...either way your jetting should be both 200 or both 290 but it depends on if it's all stock or if it has pipes...
