clutch basket and the plates

well i got home today and i got my shift shaft on fri so i was putting the stuff together,could not get the inner hub to torque(do not have the tool) well i red necked it and broke 2 of the ears off. so does anyone have some to fess up? is there a secrete if you do not have that tool? don

If you are talking about killing the clutch basket, That just sucks. The best way to attack the inner hub bolt is with an air impact gun. I know if no one that uses the clutch hub tool. If you are out of options, you have need to just get the tool and give it a try though.

get a billet basket with steel fingers and Itll be the last one you need. I put mine in gear 4-5 and strap the rear wheels down on the trailer,. and torque to 65 ft/lbs with red threadlocker. Sucker will never come off.

Hey man dont know if you saw over in my thread a few down from this one how I did mine.I put my front sproket on, put it in 6th gear and bunched up the chain like it was going to break the cases. I dint want all that pressure on my cases so I put a rubber squige that I use to tint car windows with between the cases and chain to absorb some of the pressure. I torqued it in 10lb increments and it worked like a charm.

Just put it in gear and have a friend sit on the bike and hold the rear brake. Worked on my R6 at 52 ft/lbs

Take an old burned up clutch and weld a couple outer and inner clutch pieces together and it works good.
