I am going to be upgrading to K&N podsa and wanted to know which ones fit the best. I am running stock carbs which have 43mm air horns. Any suggestions?

I have the actual K&N pods on my wifes banshee, and I have majicmikes pods on my cub. I like mikes kind better, they dont slip off the carb as bad as the K&N and cost half as much.

Hey Ed,

I grabbed the K&N's from FAST Jeff with outewears somewhere around $40. One slipped off in Glamis & bought the same K&N again. Now I know better.. Make sure the carb & filter lip is dry & the hose clamp will hold it well. I use carb cleaner on those surfaces, then clamp on when dry. No more problems. I think mine measure 3X5 inches or so.

great point. the inside and outside lips, along with the hose clamp and the carb lip need to be degreased and dry before installation. i've ran pods for 3 years without any issues.

 

Eddie, i'm running pods on 35mm PWK's, so i don't know what works well with the stock carbs.

Does the 40deg neck help clear the pipes or do I want them straight? I have a good friend in the MC business and they give me deals so I will have to order from them. Also are the K&N filterwraps any better than outerwares. They are double the price.
