not sure where u live but in most states it is illegal of a police officer to run a vin and give you any info ...

I'm not a cop but i agree i don't think cops can do that. My neighbor is a cop and he can't do that. I thought there was a site or something that you can go to.

in florida the FDLE (fl. dept of law enforcement) has A site w/ A stolen veh .search page might want to check your states dept of law enforcement web site? I checked my old vin. that was stolen 3 yrs ago & it didn't pop up, so I guess its not perfect but worth a try?

Yeah, they can't use the system for personal use. But you can probably call them of your local DMV and give them the VIN and ask them if the VIN has been reported stolen, if it has you know where they can find it.................

If you are in OR, I have a guy that can do it. If you give me the VIN's by Wednesday morning I will get them run. :thumbsup:

yea i called the florida dmv the other day but i swear they are full of idiots (no offence to anyone workin in one lol) they keep telling me the bikes vins dont exist that it was never registered but that doesn mean it wasnt reported stolen, so when i ask them how i find out if it is they tell me to call people that cant help me. hence the reason im on here. and i know the vins are right i wrote them down myself and double checked twice. i want to buy the bike but i dont want to be screwed in the process.
