thelmuffinman Posted May 13, 2007 Report Posted May 13, 2007 What's up guys? I have a few questions. First, I will be purchasing my Banshee some time next week and have about $2000 to $2500 to do so. I have a few options. First, aside from the j to a arms, did anything else change on the shee's? Also, what years did this and any other changes take place. As of now, I'm leaning towards buying this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...em=270118734198 . The man selling it said he will let it go for $2000. Good deal or no? I also have a guy who will sell me his stock 2003 Banshee for $2,400. I have also sent multiple e-mails to other people getting rid of their shee's but as of now, those are my options. Quote

I would get the 03 stock one. Both of them have stock pipes, and the other doesnt have much for mods so I would get the newer one. There was a wiring change in 1996 I beleive so you would be in the new wiring with either one of those. I would love to find a stock shee for 2400 bucks, I think its a good deal. Quote

If I do get the stocker, I will eventually add t-5's, filter, jets, and handle bars and be done for a little while. We'll see about other deals coming through, I think I sent about 15+ e-mails to people all around me selling their shee's. For now, it's just waiting I guess. What changed as far as the wiring goes, anything huge? Quote
Leadfoot350 Posted May 13, 2007 Report Posted May 13, 2007 just the plug style thats all. I would recomemd getting one with more stuff done to it because all the stuff adds up quick but if you can find one that is already done you will save a ton. Quote

That's basically the only reason I'm waiting until I get a few e-mails back because I've contacted some pretty sick shee (price and mods) sellers! Quote
thelmuffinman Posted May 14, 2007 Author Report Posted May 14, 2007 Well, I think I found my Banshee! For $2500 it's a 2001 Shee with stainlees steel ProCircuit pipes and silencer, jet kit, Boyseen power reeds, reed spacer, boost bottle, aftermarket cdi box, sprockets, K&N pod filters, extra adjustable stator wit timing advance, twist throtle, new performance clutch, and turf tamers with about 85% left on them. I think it's pretty good deal, let me know what you guys think! Quote
thelmuffinman Posted May 15, 2007 Author Report Posted May 15, 2007 Also, how are ProCircuit pipes, don't see much of them around. Are they decent? Quote

The reason for that is because yes you need to put more money into it, but at least you know that the mods were done right, and that the bike didn't have the shit beat out of it. But it is you that needs to be happy with it, if ya like it, grab it.................... Quote
thelmuffinman Posted May 15, 2007 Author Report Posted May 15, 2007 Ok, since all of oyu say the stocker, I will probably go with that. After thinking about it, I think it'd be better if I did the things myself. The main reason I was trying to find one already modded was $$$$. I think if I can pick up that stocker, throw some t-5's on there, jet it out, air filter, I'll be good. Quote
thelmuffinman Posted May 17, 2007 Author Report Posted May 17, 2007 Did the axles ever change as far as the years go? Quote
