I just installed the new dyna ignition on my banshee and rode it around for an hour and it was running awesome. I ran out of fuel and put in on reserve everytime i kicked it would fire but kill itself no matter what I did. Does anyone know whats going on here. And thank you in advance.

if its still on reserve.. it could be outta gas.. belive me ive seen it before.. if it only does it on reserve even on a full tank, your filter in the gas tank could be clogged on the reserve switch, restricting the flow.

i agree. Even though it says reserve doesn't mean there is fuel to be used. there are 2 tubes on the top of the petcock and they are different lengths. they also have filters over each tube. I ended up taking the filters off the petcock and installed an inline filter. that way i can see fuel in the filter and I can see when it needs to be changed.

Sounds to me like something got sucked into the cabs. All was good until you switched to reserve. Maybe when you did that something got sucked into the carb from the bottom of the tank. Might try spraying some fuel into the carbs and see if it will run longer. If it was the TORS I would think it would idle just fine the problem would be when you tried to hit the gas. If it were me I would check the cockpit screens, the fuel line, and the carbs. Course I have known to be wrong many times.

Good Luck

The carb switches are stupid. It will keep it from starting in fear of over revving. The parking brake will keep you from revving but will idle.

Disconnect the TORS wires on top of each carb, disconnect the brain under the left side...under the gas tank, and disconnect the parking brake wires too.

They Dyna puts out so much spark energy, you'll actually get it to fire one or two revolution even if the kill switch is turned off...

Trust me on that....I'd hit my kill switch to get my time slip last year, then get back on and kick the bike. It fire for a brief second....then die. I just had the kill turned off....<insert sound of duh here>
