Lee Posted May 3, 2007 Report Share Posted May 3, 2007 There's been features I've installed/integrated with the BansheeHQ that either took off well, or not at all. Some features/enhancements from the early days of the BHQ are still around today, while others I've intentioinally excluded in the upgrade processes (over time). There will be more polls for features as they come to my attention, such as this one. A voice chat suggestion/offering was made to me a few times regarding voice integration to the chat room, but one of the BHQ'ers (BansheeDan) had a different idea. Using a solution such as TeamSpeak (he uses this), to which Ventrilo (which i use) came to mind. We'll weight out the best one, but only if it is voted that it will be used enough to maintain either one. No real sense in putting time into creating something if it's not of popular demand, but if it is in demand then it's worth doing. Or think it would help in the repairs section, some need that verbal communication to understand how to wrench on the Banshee. I can't see the need of me needing to speak with someone on a forum, I like to read & learn off the threads & like my opinion & thoughts to be seen in the forums. SON OF A. lol im assuming it would be very similar to ventrillo... you set a key to talk on... and you push that key and talk so everyone can hear you... there ould be differant rooms that everyone can talk in your you can setup a private chat and only enter by invites... I am pretty sure I would wind up verbally abusing someone with a voice chat feature. Atleast if I have to type everything I get a bit of an expanded waiting room for my thoughts. wesw Posted May 7, 2007 Report Share Posted May 7, 2007 all i have to say im in chat probably more than anyone on this site, dan and a few are the only ones ive have ever seen in there. so if you dont go in there you really shouldnt be saying what to use. voice chat would be cool, but i say just use paltalk, that room i created, video and voice chat. for full video chat is 60 a yr thats not too much money. but again i only see like 5-10 people in there a nite, anythign to improve it will be great, more emotions, etc. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
