bigdaddy69 Posted May 1, 2007 Report Posted May 1, 2007 I recently had Jeff do a dune/play port since the rebuild I cant seem to get my power to the ground. Just wondering what I can do to help this problem? maybe change my gearing or bigger tires or something hell I dont know I'm lost. Any input is appreciated. right now I still have stock gearing and stock rims and tires stock swinger also. Quote
jlsparky7 Posted May 1, 2007 Report Posted May 1, 2007 (edited) What terrian do you ride in? Stock suspension? Go up 1 tooth in the front and itll calm it down quite a bit. Less shifting too. Tires and a front sprocket would be your best bet. Without info on where you ride I cant reccomend tires. Just wondering what your compression is? Also what octane fuel do you run? bigdaddy69 Posted May 1, 2007 Author Report Posted May 1, 2007 yes I have stock suspension, I ride hard packed sand and dirt roads. the sand I ride is so hard packed there is no need for paddles. but most of the dirt roads have loose topsoil if you know what I mean. as for my compression im not exactly sure what it is right now but last I checked it was around 140 both sides running AV gas 100LL Quote
chris1992 Posted May 1, 2007 Report Posted May 1, 2007 you dont need to run high octane fuel for that.. its probably not good for it either >_>. i do know a few things ^^ Quote
bigdaddy69 Posted May 1, 2007 Author Report Posted May 1, 2007 I know I dont need to but when you get it for free its hard to pass up. especially when premium here is 3.15 a gallon right now Quote
shee rips Posted May 1, 2007 Report Posted May 1, 2007 if you have stock tires id say thats why you're not getting power to the ground. put your new power to use and kill your stock tires with a couple smoke shows. also like jlsparky7 said, try taller gearing that would mellow it out a bit, assuming you dont do any real slow first gear trails :shoothead: Quote
bansh03 Posted May 1, 2007 Report Posted May 1, 2007 Yeah, get rid of the stock tires for sure.......they are worthless. Quote
dajogejr Posted May 1, 2007 Report Posted May 1, 2007 Stock tires??? They spin and fry with 35 HP...how do you think they're gonna do with double that??? Get some tires....then work on air pressure and gearing. Quote
Michael Jackson Posted May 2, 2007 Report Posted May 2, 2007 holeshot GNCC"s hookup awesome in everything from hard pack to soft stuff.. i duno how well they would do in deep sand though, im sure a V pattern would do better in soft sand but the holeshot GNCC is dam hard to beat for all around they make a 20x10x9 and a 21x11x9 Quote
