Ok.....a little history. Reeds are about two years old. well...two racing years.

During my last race....Around mile 60 on a 66 mile race (sux) the shee started boggin out. I was WOT and wasnt getting power. She was runnin...but terribly. Then died.

Took off air filter to find Reed on right side inside the carb stuck holding up the slide.

Well...Hello. Theres my problem.

So ... two things. First, I want to understand WTH happened. Second, to fix it.

Im wondering if they just broke? or something happened to them? do the reeds need TLC or something?

I havent checked the reeds since replacing them 2 years ago. I figured the stockies lasted 8 yrs.....

neway....I can just replace the reeds right? I dont have to replace the hole reed cage?

Sounds like it just broke. I would check the cage out just because, and replace the reed. But normally no, you dont have to change the cage, just the reed.

yup...thats what Im seeing. Im looking for replacement reeds for the VForce2's. but IM NOT finding them.

Do any other carbon reeds fit in the VForce cages?

Anyone know where to get the replacement reeds?

You might try to look in your cylinderd for junk that got sucked in through the exhaust. When they break that bad your banshee will start sucking air in from the exhaust. That is why you found that reed up in the carbs instead of in the cylinder.
