Start at 300 or even 310. Do a search for "plug chop test" and read some articles.

ok 300's for mains and anything else????? anybody???

throw a noss head on it. your mains should be somewhere between 300-320. If your used to riding it the way it is now, you should look into some pods and porting. Jack that sucker up!

That gearing should be fine, im at 13/41 riding trails and open sand areas and i like it. When i got my Paul Turner mids, .020 over piston .020 milled head and +4 timming ill be moving to 15/41 cause the bike will have too much low-end.

actualy the 15 41 will make it have more low end then you currently have.

when i did my build i started at a 15/41 and it was waaaayyy too much low end

im now at a 14/40 and i think i need to go to a 13 tooth front......

i weight 125lbs and it just spins the tires with me on it

Going smaller on the front sprocket will make the low end better. A bigger front sprocket will increase top speed. Just remember that with a smaller front sprocket, you will be shifting alot more.
