crbanshee Posted April 10, 2007 Report Posted April 10, 2007 i put the ims 5.6 gallon tank on my bike and i know im good for 85-90 miles of prety hard riding. i can ride from gordons well to glamis and dune around glamis for about 1-2 hrs then i need to go fill up.. in a desert race i can do 3 25 mile laps then i have to fill up to complete the last lap. i have also noticed that in the dunes i burn more fuel just because i play around more. figure a good dune ride you hit a bowl you like a few times find a nice jump hit that a few thousand times go race the hill a few hundred times. dune around for a bit find a big fun bowl another jump and haul ass back to camp. KlotzBanshee Posted April 10, 2007 Report Posted April 10, 2007 I usually get about 40 to 50 miles to a full tank of gas depending on how hard I'm pushing it. There is a trail in northern Michigan that I know like the back of my hand, and I can only make it about 22 miles in and 22 miles out with very little gas left. The damn 4-strokers I ride with will still have a third to a half of a tank left. :: It will vary depending on what you have going on under the seat there too Quote
