Like it says these radiator tubes are confusing as hell. I cant seem to get a good pic or diagram on how to hook these damn things up. I just put this bike back together and never saw how the hoses came off because they were in a box along with some other parts. If there is anybody near the saginaw,Mi area that would be willing to come out and hook these hoses up and make shure I have the engine and wire harness right I would appreciate it. Shit I will even pay for the gas money + some $ for doing it I just want this thing running by this weekend.

the large one with the metal shield goes from the bottom of your rad to your clutch side cover.. medium size hose goes to the top of the head...anothr larger hose goes from top of rad to the front of the head... then you should have a large hose that short and bent... that goes from the back of the head to the clutch side of the case...

your overflow can be ran down your frame and dumped, no need to run the overflow into a bottle...

the vent hose off your clutch cover and the vent hose from the center rear fitting of the case both go to the "T" spliter. then route the thrid hose to vent the two lines...it doesnt connect to anything

Clear as mud?

Ok I know were the fat hoses go but im getting confused with the small ones probly .25" So lets do it like this.

1. What hose is the long one thats about .25" just below the radiator cap and were does this run to.Should it have a screw in the end because mine does I did not put it in there, The previous owner did but im not shure if it is suppose to be in there, my guess is that its not suppose to cramed in the end.

2. The small hose .25" coming off the clutch cover side connects into the T connector which also connects to the .25" hose connected to the back of the cases by the back motor mount CORRECT ???

3. Now there is one opening left in the middle of the T connector. What other .25" hose do I connect to it and were does it run. Correct me if im wrong but the hoses connecting to the cases have nothing to do with the radiator and they just hang there or wrap around the pod filters like Fireheads does in the pics he posted in the link above CORRECT???

If someone could answer these questions I think I will have it.

The quarter inch line coming out of the radiator neck is your overflow tube, this runs back to the overflow tank, or some people just run the line down the frame and let it dump. At the very least you should remove the screw to prevent from possible over pressurizing the coolant system if the screw would happen to be in there tight enough. I wish my shee was here to tell you for certain about what else hooks into the tee.

Okay, I went out and looked at an engine im currently rebuilding for someone and think I know the vent line routing. There is a vent line running from the back of the motor under where the engine mount bolt goes through, this runs up to the tee, also there is a vent next to the radiator hose on the clutch cover this runs up to the tee also. Then the line that connects to this runs up near the top steering bushing and then down the frame a little ways. Hope this helps!

Do you want me to take my filters off and take a picture or two for you when I get home this evening (it will probably be around 7pm my time)?

No im clear on the one radiator dump hose. But I still cant figure out the T. Where are you located in saginaw the township or the city?

Ohh shit I dint see your post firehead. Hell yea If you want take them filters off and get me some pics of how the T fitting is hooked up and were the T fitting vent line goes. Also for the Radiator dump hose do I run it on the bar where my tank goes or run it along the bottom bar on the left side.

I'll get on it after I get home tonight and get something to eat.

I ran my radiator dump hose on the top frame bar and then dropped it down behind the engine. I think you can see where it is going in one of the pictures that has my filters in it (the hose is the one coming from the left side of the frame).

dud 96 the hose routing is crazy ez.. read my first post i tell you where every line goes... the one from under the rad cap just run it down your frame... it goes to the overflow bottle but you dont need that bottle trash that thing...

the medium hose gose from the only mediums outlet on the rad to the top back part of the head... then the vents from the back of the cases and the clutch cover go into the t and the third part just vents the two others...

taje a littl more time and read it... everything you need is there

Not to sound like a cocky bastard but if you read my posts I got this shit all in a box. Im shure its easy for you to hook them up when you see the damn things everyday.

I know where the hoses are supposed to go and I am not sure that I could figure it out from what you wrote there.

I agree that it's a simple task, but I recall you asking the same questions awhile back. Obviously, I did the same thing based on all the links I posted in the previous thread on this topic.

Not, to be an even bigger twat than I already am, but I also disagree about the coolant overflow bottle. :woot:

As soon as I finish my sandwich and beer I will head out to the garage and take some pictures. I may have to avoid Bansh-eman driving over to my apartment to bitch slap me on the way, so it could take longer to get pictures. :yelrotflmao:
