Well I finally got my banshee put back together last week with my new cylinders, my mods are in the sig. My clutch was slipping like a mother fucker and i did a piss poor job at jetting the needle, but i did get a few runs in and here is the results

All races were on pavement with some good riders on board

Stock:

700 Raptor: Completely destroyed it like it was sitting still

07 yfz 450: About the same as the raptor

Banshee with t'5s, filter and jets: Waste of time lol

05 trx 450r with a pipe, filter, rev box: yet another waste of time

06 CRF 250R: a better race, but when i hit 5th it was all over

The next time I will be out riding I will have a new tusk or dirt digger clutch and I will have the carbs tuned right , also im gonna run a 04 CRF 450R and see how i do against it

I noticed this port really comes on in the upper rpms, once i hit 4th it is usually all over with and with my gearing id say im pretty close to 90mph which is about too fast on an atv

hmmm. i'd have to see that. maybe a little exageration.... i could see your bike beating the other bikes listed but not "leaving them"....unless you are racin some jabrones. especially if you have clutch aaannndd jetting problems. good job anyways!

Nice man, I have the RB racing dune port as well. I have beaten pretty much everything ive lined up with (in reason) and it has been fun. I think you will have your hands full to say the least with the CRF 450. Unless hes a shit ass rider, he will beat you. Good choice going with RB, i am soooo happy with my cylinders. They rip!!!!

also if you are runnin 20" rear tires......your only goin about 70mph in fourth with that gear....it just feels fast.

Kinda what I was thinking...especially with a slipping clutch and bad jetting.

Unless you're geared like a mofo, no way 4th gear is hitting over 70ish....

Congrats on the wins.

hmmm i just sent off for some t5s.....seems like i needa hurry and get a port job

I'd love to see some video of a ported toomey piped shee going against a non ported toomey piped shee just to see the difference a port job makes.

Tough comparison, considering there's a ton of different builders out there and different port jobs. keepin in mind, rider skill plays along that line too!!!

From a stock ported bike with Toomey probably in the 40HP range, to an aggressive port job with Toomey's that can range from 55 to 70ish HP....it's a very, very nice jump!!!

Wow that much of a power increase. And i already have horrible traction problems :ermm:

I would say those are average increases..

Certainly, builders can get more out of the OEM cylinders...but then the powerband becomes much narrower and the traits change from a fun all around motor to a top end only drag motor.

Not what I think this guy is looking for...
