spark plugs caps

has anybody every had a spark plugs screw cap come off on them before. one came off on me over christmas though something was wrong with my shee then saw a lead off my spark plug and the screw cap was gone lucky i had spare plugs with me. but anyway since then i have been check them alot lately and nearly every set has been come lose whats the go are NGK starting to get slack or am i just having bad luck.

now i have started take the caps off before i use them and loctiting them on.

Almost all spark plugs come with the caps (finger tight) cuz some bikes use different types of spark plug boots. Any time you get new plugs you should always make sure they're tight.

Happens....no biggie.

I tighten them down in the head, then use a pair of channel locks or pliers and give the screw on cap a quick snug...

Same here torque em down in the head and then snug em up with pliers. Don't get to carried away tighting them up.

I take off the caps and lightly squeeze them with pliers so they are just out of round then screw them on. Never lost one yet. Also I would think locktite would be a bad idea. It's not conductive and could isolate the cap from the plug.
