Yes, that is true, for 2 reasons....one, your running the motor lean and causing it to build more heat which could melt the piston. Two, when you run out of gas, you are not giving the motor any lubrication, which again, can sieze the motor or dramatically wear the rings in a short time... Now if "Miss of gas" means something else, then you need to explain it differently. "Pistons can grip" must be another term for "siezing" I'm guessing? Quote
ban-shred Posted March 11, 2007 Author Report Posted March 11, 2007 yeah ok thanks...miss of gas want to say run out of gas and grip is seize its a term that we use in french to say the motor ''stik''or seize and thx for the reply i willl still buy the single carb setup but i will watch my gas lol Quote
Bansh88 Posted March 11, 2007 Report Posted March 11, 2007 You never want to let a 2 stroke motor run out of gas. It's the equivelant of running out of oil in your truck. I don't see why the single carb setup would be any different than 2. Quote
ban-shred Posted March 11, 2007 Author Report Posted March 11, 2007 don't know either why lol.I wasn't knowing that running out of gas could seize your motor...it hapen to me a lot of time and nothing happen but i run at 25:1 so there is oil remaining in the cylinder. But thanks for the tip i didn' knew it lol Quote
