ok long story short my k&n airbox lid came today, it also stated on the box it came with jets if needed. well i open the box and looking at at everything and then i got to the jets they sent 2 of each 340's and 350's. i thought damn those are huge! well so i started reading all the paperwork and directions (i was bored) and they state that if it was totally stock just the lid to move the clip to the 5th position and install the supplied jets. and now for what seems to be the even crazyer part. this is what they say about the main jets, MAIN JET/ TUNING RECOMMENDATION the suppplied jets were tested on a completly stock maching fitted with an xtreme powerlid with the following paramiters, elevation 1200 temp 98 fuel type 91. the larger jets will work up to about 3000ft elevation. the smaler jets should be for elevations between 3000 and 6000. for elevations above 6000 appropriatly smaller jets will need to be purchased locally. now it gets even worse, it says, follow these guidelines for help in determining what jetting adjustments to make when the machine is not stock. installing an xtreme powerlid in place of an unmodified airbox cover typically requires increasing the LEFT carburetor main jet 7 steps with no change to the needle and the RIGHT carburetor main jet 11 steps and raising the needle one position. what the hell not only to the contradict themselves but how did they come to these conclusions!!!! the only impressive part of the instructions was all the pictures were actually of a banshee

I ordered one of those power lids and got the same instruction you have. :yelrotflmao:

That was one of the First post I made on the HQ. (first mod to Banshee) I just put a 240 main jet in and called it good.

...........wow...........That is just moronic of them.....that just shows everyone that the companies out there can be really out to lunch when giving jetting recommendations.....thats why I don't believe any jetting recommendations especially from the exhaust companies...good post!!

Maybe the guy had heatstroke when he tested if it was that hot. Speaking gibberish is one of the symptoms
