black sunshine Posted March 6, 2007 Report Posted March 6, 2007 Did a search and found this topic numerous times, but no one posts any pics. Emailed the "Clarke gas tank guy" and he has no other pics besides the angled side view. Could one of you fine individuals with a Clarke tank please post some different angled pics, front and rear? I'm real close to ordering one but I would like to see some more pics. Thanks! Quote
Bansh-eman Posted March 6, 2007 Report Posted March 6, 2007 which tank? 4 gal or 5.6? the IMS tank is more common youmight have better results looking for one of those... Quote
black sunshine Posted March 6, 2007 Author Report Posted March 6, 2007 The 5.6 GAL. I need to turn this thing into an oil rig for long trail rides. I just dont like the looks of the IMS tanks. I found alot of posts and was lead to believe that a few members have them. If I could just get a good look..... Quote
Wallrat Posted March 7, 2007 Report Posted March 7, 2007 I've seen them in person and they look infinately better than the IMS tanks. Unfortunately, don't have a pic. Quote
yamaha04 Posted March 7, 2007 Report Posted March 7, 2007 i dont know if this is relevent to the banshee but my buddy got one for his 350X it was a clark tank oem size and it fit like shit. anyone had this problem. it might not matter on a banshee because the tank is cover now that i think about it Quote
ClimbAnyHill Posted March 7, 2007 Report Posted March 7, 2007 I looked into those 5.6 Clarks before I went with my IMS 4.0 which is good enough & get to ride all day no prob. I know I don't answer your question or give you pictures but think those 5.6's are ugly as hell. The gas cap sits up really high + you have to cut your plastic from the front fender area & back since the tank drops down into that area. That 5.6 will serve it's purpose but don't like the appearance. Quote

I have an extra set of fenders so if I want I can switch back and forth. My buddies get upset because they can ride like all day on a tank with their 4x4s and I need to strap gas tanks on the back of their machines. They want to span 60-80 miles in between fill ups, and I am in the process of having my jugs ported!!! I would also like to increase my range for some solo trips--always worrying about running out of gas sucks! Quote
