grpark20 Posted March 4, 2007 Report Posted March 4, 2007 (edited) Just curious is there any difference in LRD cylinders and stock cylinders? Edited March 4, 2007 by grpark20 Quote
prochargednova Posted March 6, 2007 Report Posted March 6, 2007 Are you talking about the porting? I have a set of cylinders ported by LRD and work very well. Quote
. Posted March 6, 2007 Report Posted March 6, 2007 no, none at all. I've got a brand new top end and pistons I'll trade you for them though. Really though, they are ported by LRD (dont think they make their own cylinder), and produce somewhere around 15 hp more than stock depending on the setup Quote

There are some LRD cylinders on EBAY. The cylinders have LRD on the side of them. So if you were to purchase LRD cylinders are they already ported, or the same as stock cylinders? The ones on EBAY claim to be dune ported but don't look like any other port job I've ever seen. Here is the link for them. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...em=200084194076 Let me know what you guys think. Thanks!! I also have detailed pics.... http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t308/ju.../PICT0018-2.jpg http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t308/ju.../PICT0017-1.jpg http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t308/ju.../PICT0016-2.jpg http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t308/ju.../PICT0014-1.jpg http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t308/ju...cs/PICT0012.jpg http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t308/ju...cs/PICT0013.jpg http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t308/ju...cs/PICT0015.jpg Sorry, don't know how to make the clicky. Might have to copy and paste the links! Quote
Trick2stroke Posted March 6, 2007 Report Posted March 6, 2007 Look like stock ported cylinders to me, when a big name company ports your jugs they'll usually scribe their name into the side. Quote

I think they are not ported. I've been nailing the seller with questions and nothing!! Can't even get the bore size out of this seller!! So I'd say he's trying to rip some people off!! Either way, unless some other BansheeHQ member can chime in and vouch for them......I'm going to stay clear of them. Quote
prochargednova Posted March 7, 2007 Report Posted March 7, 2007 They have definitely been ported just not to big. They look similar to mine but hard to tell w/o sitting them side to side. You can easily see the transfer ports are done and it looks like they went easy on the port timing.Hard to tell in the pics though. Quote

Still sounded iffy with the seller, so I just let them go. No one bid on them. Quote

I would ask for a picture with micometer in the cylinder measuring what they claim.. My neighbor got ripped on a set of jugs for a banshee last year. One had so much sleeve damage that it could not even be resleeved and used. Quote
