moneybags Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 I am in the market for a trailer to pull my Banshee on. I found these about 10 miles from my house. Their is only $100 differents in the two.($1700 and $1800) Both hold 3 quads and have ride up ramps from the sides. The one without the wood deck has a spot for a toolbox built into it. Wich do you like better and Y, or should I keep looking. I will be towing it with a 1995 V6 toyota 4-runner. Thanks Quote
theshee Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 I like the one in the 3rd and 4th pics. Looks like the side come off and make a ramp. I would get that one if I was getting on open trailer. Quote

We welded d rings to the side rails for hold downs, mounted a truck box to the front and then welded gas can holders next to the box. It is really the perfect size. Oh and check home depot or lowes, they are little bit less money there I think. Got ours at a scratch and dent from the homie d for 700 bucks, replaced the tounge called it good! 06BaNsHeE Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 IMO thats way to big if your going to only be towing 1 banshee. But if your towing more than yea I would get the one in the third pic Quote
FireHead Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 (edited) The Carson trailer with the squared off sides looks to be built a little more ruggedly, but the trailer with the cpot for the tool box looks like it may have a few more useful feature (besides looking sexier). Do you need heavy duty or can you get buy with lighter duty and a little more cool factor? Edited February 23, 2007 by FireHead Quote

You got any ideas on where their located? I like the toolbox thing on the first one. But the seckend one dose look more hevydudy. Also the 1st and 2nd pic are the same trailer as with the 3rd and 4thpic being the same. Quote

I don't know where at in northern cali are you, but i got mine at AZ-TEX trailer. Way cheaper than Carson. I got a 14ft with Dual axles and the ramp in the rear for $1400 out the door. It is $200 cheaper without the ramp, and another $200 less for a single axle. They are located in Fontana. 909-428-9544 Quote
nomad Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 Those are decent prices for a 3 machine trailer in my area (new). I like the first one. I'm in the market for a trailer which also hauls 2+ machines. I was looking at this one http://www.worthingtontrailers.com/trailer...tail.aspx?ID=14 because it loads on both sides, it's light and also reminds me of the hay trailers growing up. Quote

MILO Posted February 24, 2007 Report Posted February 24, 2007 i agree, i think those are way overpriced bud! but i guess it may just be the area you are in. trailers around here that are similar are a lot less. check out how the frames are made, and how the tongue is attached, the axle placement for weight balancing, and tire size/load rating. many of the mid size trailers around here have little 2x2 angle frames and a cheap tongue with little wheels, and sell for about the same price as trailers with 4" channel frames, a solid tongue and 15" wheels. it depends on where you get them. lowes, home depot, tractor supply, and others can easily sell you a light duty trailer at a heavy duty trailer price. i bought mine from a local shop whose entire business is utility trailers. it's much better made and has a better axle on it. odds are though, once you buy one and use it, you'll be wanting a bigger one, so go big if you have the $$ the first time.
