locogato11283 Posted February 19, 2007 Report Posted February 19, 2007 hmm, first off you should try making some sense. it would help if we could understand what the hell youre saying. using sentences and punctuation try to explain in more detail whats happening. Quote
luvsmesand Posted February 19, 2007 Author Report Posted February 19, 2007 I am having trouble with my banshees transmission. It will not stay in second gear while accelerating. It pops out of second and makes a ratchetting noise. I have changed the gears, shift forks, and the shift drum. I can not find any apparent reason for this. If anyone has had a similar problem I would appreciate any advice. Thanks Quote

If that is the case you have the infamous "2nd gear slip" that 99-02 R6 owners talk about all the time. Read this article and it will give you a little more information. luvsmesand Posted February 19, 2007 Author Report Posted February 19, 2007 thanks sparky. I purchased the gear set off e-bay and should have took a look at the individual gears before installing. I will replace those parts tomm. and let you know what happens. Thanks again. Quote
