8-ball Posted February 1, 2007 Author Report Posted February 1, 2007 (edited) pretty cool we didnt make it up thise year, just stayed local and no luck anyways honestly what would be my best way to go? 1. Work all spring and summer as much as i can find things to do while im not at work, then work a lot through the winter and continue saving until i get around 3k then buy one or... 2.work and buy parts and build from scratch like used frame and etc. thats my options so just wondering Edited February 1, 2007 by 8-ball Quote
kaotik1 Posted February 1, 2007 Report Posted February 1, 2007 The thing of it all is, what you really want to do. If you buy it in parts you can make it custom as you build it, rather than pony up twice for parts. Second good thing about buying in parts, if oyu decide not to continue the project you can sell the part you have already bought. Quote
8-ball Posted February 1, 2007 Author Report Posted February 1, 2007 well true but would building it all from scratch take up a lot more money? Quote
kaotik1 Posted February 1, 2007 Report Posted February 1, 2007 I think it to be about even.. If you buy a stocker, then want a-arms you spend more money, if you buy a frame then arms not more money. Quote
8-ball Posted February 1, 2007 Author Report Posted February 1, 2007 yeah but what about frame $$$ then running engine $$$ then radiator $$ tires wairing brakes rear end parts idk just seems like id run into ALOT of extra money spent Quote
Bansh-eman Posted February 1, 2007 Report Posted February 1, 2007 you can get most your used stocker parts off ebay for pretty cheap... ad all years are interchangable but the j arm to a arms and then the cdis have 3 differant plugs 87-94, 95-96, 97 on... other then that every thing will fit all years... you can get a frame for 300 bucks some times on ebay. your most expensive thing will be your motor... used radiators arms swingre and shit they are a dime a dozen these days Quote
