I got mine with drill bit n tap from toomey for like $23. Quote

okbeast Posted January 14, 2007 Report Posted January 14, 2007 Did you make sure to file the boss down that the idle screw goes in to? If you don't it doesnt have enough length to reach the slide and adjust it up to idle. Quote

If you don't it doesnt have enough length to reach the slide and adjust it up to idle. yea on mine I had to grind off about .15" after it was flat to get the slides to open up enough. look into the carb off and twist in the screw from 1/4 way out and see if the slide cracks open a hair. Your probley not lifting enough and choke/flooding resulting in all the gas/smoke. Quote

Toomey states the length at 18mm if I remember right. However, I found I had to remove another 2-3mm to get enough adjustment out of the idle screws to have any impact. Quote
