When you put the aftermarket pipes on did you rejet like you're supposed to?? That might cause the bog and crappy performance at low end. You should have rejetted to a 280-290. Doesn't sound like a lot but the smallest changes can make the shee run likle a whole new beast. Edited January 11, 2007 by Handyman Quote
foxy30 Posted January 11, 2007 Author Report Posted January 11, 2007 I put 290 mains in and it was even worse than now,so i put in the 260's in.aleast got it to run.what about the pilots, thanks man Quote
sheefreak Posted January 11, 2007 Report Posted January 11, 2007 The fattys like a bigger pilot as well. But if you are going to run w/the lid on, just close your airscrews down some. Remember the Fatty is a mid-top end pipe. It may not be as strong right off idle as the stockers, but should be extremely noticeable on top. Quote
Handyman Posted January 12, 2007 Report Posted January 12, 2007 Wow I did not realize fatties liked bigger pilots. If a bigger pilot is needed try a 27.5. I run Pro Circuits on my '99 and as you can see in my sig the jetting I run and it runs like a striped ass ape. Quote
dajogejr Posted January 14, 2007 Report Posted January 14, 2007 Normally they like a fatter pilot, but, make sure you remove the snorkel at least. You should be able to turn the air screws .5 to 1.0 turns out and get it to run better. If it still doesn't run better at .5 turns out, get bigger pilots as said.... You should feel more power EVERYWHERE with fatties over stock, except for just off idle, where...if you're gonna spend your time at idle to 1/8 throttle, a banshee is not the right bike for you.. wesw Posted January 14, 2007 Report Posted January 14, 2007 try the 4th or 5th clip on the needle should waken it up. did for my buddies bike with stock setup and fatties. Quote
Animalman294 Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 You might try the 27.5 to see what that does, but it sounds like it might solve your problem........ Quote

Main jets are for top end, and needles pretty much handle the acceleration part of the deal. Quote
danysbanshee Posted June 15, 2007 Report Posted June 15, 2007 When I jetted my bike for those pipes yrs ago. I ran a 290main needle in the stock position and airscrew 1.5 turns out. At sea level. I also had the snorkel removed and a few holes in the lid. Quote
