addicted Posted January 3, 2007 Report Posted January 3, 2007 Anyone have feedback on this? every couple days of riding I have to even out my air screws. I was thinking about maybe a dab of blue licktie on the threads. I was just wondering if anyone has had the same problem. Quote

Banshee4Drag Posted January 3, 2007 Report Posted January 3, 2007 hey man i see this problem alot...I have had to make differnt screws and tep my holes a little different, i have seen guys use little lock tight on them, Have seen people use metel screws instead of the brass...Are people useing a lock washer on them. If you use lock tight i woupld prolly not use permant shit that might not be good...But you have to see whats going to work on your bike Quote
BigRed350x Posted January 3, 2007 Report Posted January 3, 2007 Put a dab of soft-drying silicone on them after you get them set where you want. Can be removed later if you need, but will still hold them in place. Quote
Animalman294 Posted January 3, 2007 Report Posted January 3, 2007 I think I would try the silicone idea before I messed with the locktite.......... Quote
dajogejr Posted January 3, 2007 Report Posted January 3, 2007 Dumb questions, but you do have the springs on the air screw, right? Try some pliers and stretching them a tad... The spring is what should hold it in place to prevent it from backing out. Possibly put a new Oring on the end for a good seal, too... Just a though before you went a more permanent or harder to adjust route... Quote

Just a though before you went a more permanent or harder to adjust route... Are there springs on the air screw? I guess I haven't had them all the way out yet, but I didn't realize there was springs on them. Possibly I called them the wrong thing. It' not the idle screws, but the air screw that you fine tune your pilot with. Thanks for the replies, I like the idea of a small dab of non drying sillicone, maybe #2. That would probobly make any adjustments later a litter easier than the locktite. Quote
