$1500.00 to spend on suspension

what would be a good setup for around $1500.00 give or take? Im set on Elka Triple Rates with piggy back res.

I was looking at this Laeger Race A'arm Kit with the piggy back+ compression. I ride mosly trails and dirt roads. Any sugestions?

i wouldnt just look at one brand for suspension because there are so many good brands out there but, im looking at an janssen add in a dirt wheels and i see a long travle kit starting at $1380you might want to check them out and you can k&k's web site and they have good deals. but be open to any kind of shocks and a arms.

What are the advantages to long travel? Is it needed for trails?

i have heard that theres not much of a difference but just extra travel. but its not needed for trail riding. but i mean that is cheap for a long travel kit. but on the trails you could go with a standard travel a arms. but hey are you in the coast guard?

That Laegers package is only +2 wide not forward the +1 forward comes in handy in the long trails. Im not even sure Laeger makes foward A Arms anymore Ill check.

yes there is alot janssen racing ,kandkracing.com. and theres more but i cant come up with any off the top of my head. but i have a brother station in the coast guard in clearwater and i was woundering if you are in the coast guard and were your station at? just looking at your name tells me your in the coast guard but im just curious.
