MagsDragon Posted December 20, 2006 Report Posted December 20, 2006 Whats up guys. Recently ive been reading up on the timing mod done to alot of the banshees on here. i understand the concept of it and how it works but I am curious to see what u guys think i should do. I have 125 psi in both cylinders, and run 93 with yamalube 2-R every time. What do you guys think would be a practicle timing advancement. I was consdering +4 but I dont know if the stock engine with my fuel mixture will handle that for a decent period of time. Thanks guys.. Quote
scooter Posted December 20, 2006 Report Posted December 20, 2006 +4 timing will not hurt a stock engine with 93 octane and yamalube you will be fine. allways do a plug check to make sure. Quote
olmick Posted December 20, 2006 Report Posted December 20, 2006 you should be good to go on that, its definately worth it, i noticed a bigger gain with it and milling my head then i did with my pipes Quote
sheefreak Posted December 20, 2006 Report Posted December 20, 2006 Should be ok. If you hear pinging or start "rattling" plugs loose, you have problems. Quote

Yeah, that +4 timing advance works well but it works even better if you bump up the compression. IE Noss Head/domes for cooling billit impeller. Ive found out for every bolt on mod there is a counter mod to keep it reliable. You have Pipes and tires rite? Quote
