1998 Yamaha Banshee For Sale-2600obo
MagsDragon replied to MagsDragon's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
Yea i hate selling in NY cause all I get are scam artists and lowballers. But to answer your first question bare minimum ill go is 2300. Supposidly i have someone coming to look at it tonight.. But he might just be another person how likes to talk. So ill let you guys know i originally startred out asking 3000 now im asking 2600. -
2600 obo need to sell ASAP.... CASH AND LOCAL PICKUP OR DELIVERY ONLY!! DUE TO PRIOR ATTEMPTED SCAM! Selling my 1998 Yamaha Banshee because I no longer have time to ride, and need the money. The quad has a new black powder coated frame to match its black UFO plastics and seat. As for the performance of the quad It has Aftermarket swingarm skid plate, Bills Pipes full exhuast, UNI air filter, jet kit, TORS removed, and a bigger sprocket for more top end. This quad is pretty fast and has never gave me any problems. I changed the oil as needed and kept up on maintenence. The brakes are fine and there is absouluty nothing mechanically wrong with this ATV. However the only flaws to this bike are There is one bolt hole stripped out on the push bar part of the frame, and the kill switch does not work because there is no brake light to complete the circuit however the key kill works fine for me. 2 rims are slightly bent however they do not effect trail riding what so ever. I am missing the left heel guards as seen in the picture but however one can be brought for less then 20 dollars. I am being as honest as possible and I also forgot to mention that the quad is fully registered and insured in the state of NY so i do have registration and title to go along with the quad. Please feel free to call me at 914-943-7792 or email me at [email protected] for any questions the buyer of this vehicle will not be disappointed. Thank you -Joe Need to sell ASAP

Whats up guys. Recently ive been reading up on the timing mod done to alot of the banshees on here. i understand the concept of it and how it works but I am curious to see what u guys think i should do. I have 125 psi in both cylinders, and run 93 with yamalube 2-R every time. What do you guys think would be a practicle timing advancement. I was consdering +4 but I dont know if the stock engine with my fuel mixture will handle that for a decent period of time. Thanks guys..

Are you willing to sell the frame? How much? And what kinda condition? Thx...
-
I have a Viza V2 Goped and a Manco Custom Go-kart. Both run flawlessly i have no need for them anymore the goped needs a TLC on the paint and fenders from sitting and the gokart is fine I would put new front wheels on it, The throttle now is a lever on the side of the gokart because the foot pedal line snapped but a line runs 13$ if you wanna fix. I will trade both of these for a regular stock banshee A-arm frame will not cracks bends or rewelds. The Go-Ped has reinforced welded brackets so it could go off road with out the frame bending which I learned the hard way. As stated before both run perfect, and engines well maintained. Show me what you guys got thanks, appreciate it. Joe I have pics and will send them open request.

OK, NOW WHAT ? I HAVE DISCONNECTED THE TORS
MagsDragon replied to VIPES's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
CORRECTION! Ok well on the side of your thumb throttle assembly closest to the radiator you will see a small electrical line running out of your thumb throttle casing. This wire is in relation to your former TORS. What I just figured out today was in this wire has a depression sensor on it which is a little button basically which when your thumb throttle is completely released like you want it to idle it will create a short in the motor making the motor stall. Dont overpass this because it drove me up a wall, and id hate to see a fellow banshee owner go nuts on his too. Although you may need to close the circut from where the electrical line originates from the placstic connector under the gas tank all you have to do is cut the two wires and twist them together and a little electrical tape if you dont have any 2 line splicing connector which might work a little more efficent. Tell me how to comes out. -
OK, NOW WHAT ? I HAVE DISCONNECTED THE TORS
MagsDragon replied to VIPES's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Ok well there could be a variation of different things but i also just did the same thing ur doing to my friends banshee today. First off there is no splicing involved. Your quad will not idle anymore because when you remove your TORS you loose your idle. To fix that you must drill and tap your idle screws into your carb. (PROBALLY MOST VITAL STEP BE VERY CAUTIOUS). Make sure that you have put the slides back in the correct carburetor, and the right way. The side of the slide with the cut away at the bottom MUST face the airbox or intake. Also make sure that all your carbs lines are properly connected. Since you say it begins to start it must be something fuel related. Try what i said, and if it still dosnt run come back, and well figure it out. -
Thornwood NY. 30 mins away from the city. Do you have any pics of the frame? I will understand if u dont want the hassel of sending the frame.
-
My throttle stuck and slammed my banshee into a wall. :baseball_wibble: But to make a long story short im looking around for just a regular stock a-arm frame without any, bends, cracks, rewelds, or striped bolt holes. Haven't rode her in about 2 months because of this set back. So please guys i beg of you contact me ASAP if you have a good frame. Please make me a reasonable offer. Thanks guy really appreciate it.
