ok guys do i have this right on the front sprocket if i go down a tooth it will help on torque but i will lose some top end? i am not that worried about losing a little top end i just want more torque for the dunes im bigger than most of my friends that i race so will this help me?

Your chain will last longer, if you leave the 14 tooth on the front, and put a 43 or 44 tooth on the rear. Going 2-3 teeth bigger on the back, is close to the same, as going 1 tooth less in the front.

You are correct.. You drop teeth in front or go more in rear it gives more "low end".. Add teeth in front or less in rear gives more top.. Usually the rule of thumb is one tooth up front equals 2-3 in rear. I used to have a 13 tooth front sprocket but I like it better with the 14 back on and a couple extra teetrh on the rear sprocket..

now how much difference will there be in the top end if i go to a 43-44 tooth sprocket in the back?
