i just installed a cool head with 22cc domes how low of domes can u use before u should do work to your crank i mostly ride around deleware and new jersey. would 20 or 19 cc domes create a problem how much compression can your stock pistons and crank take before failure?

when you start adding power by porting and upping your compression its smart to weld your crank.

if you have the 120 bucks do your self a favor and get some weisco pro lites and can those stock pistons... they are much stronger....

This is the best advice your going to get. I think youll be fine down to 20cc domes but if you go any lower then take bansh-emans advice.

you do know 22cc is stock?

i was told 26cc is for a stock head that gives u about 120 psi per cly when u goto 22 u get about 155 to 157 psi

Approximate Cranking Compression

These pressures are estimates based on fresh stock bore, piston, porting, and deck height.

It is recommended to check your compression after installation.
