kubiac3 Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 (edited) I know my bike isnt worth what I think its worth, so im asking you guys what I actually could get for it. here it goes. I want 4500 for this bike, im thinking 3000 is what its really worth. 95 banshee, no title, bill of sale. -vitos super stock pistons -vitos brand new crank -complete bottom and top end rebuild (gaskets, bearings, seals) -all repainted with 4 coats of clear -pro circuit pipes -boysen reeds -tors eliminated -new wiring -new stator and adjustable timing plate -new coil -new flywheel -new razors on douglas .190 all around -american star +2+1 a arms -works dual rate shocks with rez -ac bumper -nerfs -ez drain impeller cover -billet clutch cover, throttle cover -reed spacers -jet kit -BOOST BOTTLE!!! -new clutch cable -billet clutch basket -new clutch, inner hub and outer hub -rear 2 inch billet wheel spacers -polished axle -new shock, axle, swingarm bearings -k&n clamp ons -blue plastic with graphics kit(rear plastic has cracks and stress marks -temp gauge -all parts including engine cases, cylindars, head, side cases were freshly painted with 4 coats of clear. I have every reciept for every nut, bolt and part bought for this bike. Its alot to type but im thinking what I "think" its worth is not close to what it actually is worth. Unless I find a kid like me when I was 12 and daddy was buying me the best christmas gift ever and I just pointed and picked the coolest looking used shee I could find. Come to find out it was a total wreck over years of wrenching its finally in tip top shape. Its SUPER clean. Just need a reality check. thanks. Be as harsh as you wish. If it were mine I'd advertise it for at least 4000 obo ... This is coming from someone in SoCal, where there is definitely an over-abundance of banshees for sale.. For 3 grand, I would think someone would be getting a steal of a deal.. I would always start a little higher than you are looking to get, because you know some fucker is going to try to offer you like 2500 for it.. What is forcing the sale? I know it's hard to sell something like this for so little, I wish you were closer! I just bought one a few months ago. . I feel your pain! Good luck! Edit: I just realized you said no title! What would it take to get the title cleared up? I know that is worth a grand in itself... Edited December 2, 2006 by silencethevoice Quote
IROOST1 Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 I would say about 3400, but not till april when everyone starts getting anxious. Right now, maybe 3, if that unless its a x-mas present like you said. Quote
kubiac3 Posted December 2, 2006 Author Report Posted December 2, 2006 As for the title idk if I can get it cleared up. I havent tried since I havent thought about selling it till this week. Im thinking I might be able to go there with the numbers and get a replacement title or a title where I say I built the bike part by part. I know if you build a trailer you can get it titled so i think you could with a quad as well possibly. If not im going to buy a frame with a title. Probably a newer frame like 2000 and up. That way it looks like a newer bike then it is. All in all it is a brand new bike so its not like im ripping someone off by getting a 2003 frame and saying the bike is a 2003 when really its a 95 and its about to grenade. I will just tell the person the carbs, axle and swingarm are off a 95 because those are the only parts that are from 95. When I put it up for sale im going to up it up for 4500,must sell. That way its a high starting price and people go hey, he must sell it so im sure he will take less then 4500 for it. Like when i bought it, listed for 4000, offered the guy 3000, didnt even hesitate to say yeah ill take 3000. Theres nothing really forcing the sale other then 4000 bucks in back credit cards and student loans but they can wait. Plus I need a new car. 140k on a chrysler means one thing, something big is going to break. Im going to post some pics up sometime over the weekend. I would hate to let it go for less then 3500 it would be like selling my kidneys for coke. Is there a benefit to parting it out, i mean other then if its stolen like most gypsys do. Damn thieves. nunyabinness Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 your biggest problem is NO TITLE. some people are ok with that because their state doesn't require it. it all depends on where and when you are selling it and how you list it. you could get lucky and find someone who "just wants a banshee BAD and they want it NOW". you could get rid of it to them for quite a bit. Unfortunately alot of people want it cheap and are willing to wait for the right opprotunity. like me for instance, i know there are banshee's out there that will go for $1000-1500 and i will wait until i come across one. i don't "need it now" so i have the time to wait. good luck on selling your shee and i hope you get what you want for it. Infamous039 Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 Sounds like you have a nice modded Banshee. How come you want to sell such a nice bike?? Also just remember you will never get half of what you put into your bike when your selling it, sometimes its just best to hold on to it. unless other wise. Quote
banshee0044 Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 id say around 2500 ps...i would edit your post about how you are going to claim a '95 as an '03 when you sell it...that might detour people from buying your bike :: Quote
svb Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 without a title I wouldn't pay more than around $1000 for it. Quote
kubiac3 Posted December 2, 2006 Author Report Posted December 2, 2006 Well when I do sell it Im going to sell it locally. I would disclose all the info on the bike anyways. Such as its a 2003 frame and 95 engine cases, carbs, axle, and swingarm. The whole bottom end parts are out of a 2004 which i noticed I didnt mention before. Id rather just be honest with whoever looks at it when I put it up forsale, as in tell them exactly what there getting. Id hate to see another young kid in the situation I was in 8 years ago. Broke ass shee with no money to fix it. With a 2003 frame and title I could list it as a 2003 though which will bring people out to see it rather then see that its a 95 and go man that thing is probably a peice of shit. Quote
racer Posted December 3, 2006 Report Posted December 3, 2006 95 banshee, no title, bill of sale. -vitos super stock pistons -vitos brand new crank -complete bottom and top end rebuild (gaskets, bearings, seals) -all repainted with 4 coats of clear -boysen reeds -tors eliminated -new wiring -new stator and adjustable timing plate -new coil -new flywheel -ac bumper -nerfs -ez drain impeller cover -reed spacers -jet kit -BOOST BOTTLE!!! -rear 2 inch billet wheel spacers -polished axle -blue plastic with graphics kit(rear plastic has cracks and stress marks -temp gauge -all parts including engine cases, cylindars, head, side cases were freshly painted with 4 coats of clear. all of those things dont really add any value.
