baddsheee Posted December 1, 2006 Report Posted December 1, 2006 Looking for the crossover intake tube. I heard people say they plug them up but I want to put the stock tube back in place. Bought the bike with the Super Booster bottler in it. Quote
samdust Posted December 1, 2006 Report Posted December 1, 2006 honestly i understand they dont do anything for ur quad. but there is no reason to waste time and more money to change it. all it is is a empty can it does the samething as the tube only it looks better. so i say keep it and tell the stupid girls and boys that its some cool mod that everyone has. hell i dont know i think leave it alone. i did. its not that heavy i wouldnt sweat it Quote

samdust Posted December 1, 2006 Report Posted December 1, 2006 Just watch your intakes closely and often for cracking!!! what would cause it to crack the bottle doesnt do anything but sit there and look pretty. Quote
thegroup Posted December 1, 2006 Report Posted December 1, 2006 what would cause it to crack the bottle doesnt do anything but sit there and look pretty. it puts stress on the boots. he's talking aobut the boots cracking and not the bottle Quote
Bansh-eman Posted December 1, 2006 Report Posted December 1, 2006 you know iv heard the bottle cracking boots thing time and time again... you guys must have differant intakes then the one i had back in the day... casue the pro design intake the boost bottle sits on the billet manifold that is bolted to the jugs... so there is no stress on the boots... if anything the boots are going to rip casue the weigth of the carbs and pods bounceing around... baddsheee Posted December 1, 2006 Author Report Posted December 1, 2006 Good ews, got a member sending me a crossover tube. The POS bottle sits on the rubber intakes, which mine are stock. For the horror stories I've heard here, why even risk it? It's kind of like what you read here about replacing stock impeller, remove the tors, weld your crank, and the list goes on. Just feels more comfortable without it. Quote

Bansh-eman Posted December 1, 2006 Report Posted December 1, 2006 (edited) another thing what the hell is a tors. its your "throttle over ride system" when your slides get stuck open and your throttle is "closed" (your not hitting it) the computer will make your bike cutout thinking your carbs is stuck to help you keep the bike under control... the idea is to prevent a run away bike...
