370ccblack&white Posted December 3, 2006 Author Report Posted December 3, 2006 I think the hight of the slides is a good guess, Is their a factory hight spec on hot far they should be open on the air box side? As far as reeds go, they have about 6 hrs all of them, they were replaced with the engine, but yes I did pull the cages and they looked great. How often does the timing get knocked off on these banshees? Quote

How often does the timing get knocked off on these banshees? Its not really THAT common of a thing, but it does happen. Its usually due to not having the flywheel torqued up to the right spec. The flywheel moves a little bit on the crank and will shear off the key in some cases. Quote
akita8 Posted December 4, 2006 Report Posted December 4, 2006 If the TORS is still installed the slide adjustment is on top of the carbs. Turn both sides equally about 1/2 turn (ccW) at a time and try to start it. If the TORS is removed you can adjust the slides with the idle adjust screws on the outboard side of the carbs. Quote
