[email protected] Posted November 30, 2006 Report Posted November 30, 2006 1" PVC pipe, I know 3 shops that are plumbed this way. I believe it's rated at 150 psi. I know our shop at work is set at 125 and no problems and easy to fix. seen many shops done like that , i did my dadsa house like that but only like 10 feet of pvc. Quote
csrmel Posted November 30, 2006 Report Posted November 30, 2006 pvc all the way! whatever you do dont use pvc right out of the compressor or tank. use metal for the first few feet because that air is ususlly really hot. Quote
Devans Posted December 1, 2006 Report Posted December 1, 2006 We use pvc in our shop, about a hundred feet or so of it. Quote
bansheerage Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 i built like 3 or 4 shops when i was in iraq all out of pvc it held up never a problem just use shut off valves and maybee a hose real since your shop is not that big Quote
Shee-Male Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 Copper or black pipe is what I'm fermiliar with, used black pipe in the machine shop I used to work at, and copper at home, be sure to use a large dia. small dia. is a common problem and leads to poor cfm. That garage pack stuff is sweet though. Quote
dishman Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 I have 1 inch pvc in my garage and i use all day every day and it is set at 150 psi and has been working for 6 yrs. without a pop and have 5 air line hookups on it Quote
